Posture and Neurology

Well just in case if you are wondering whats the thingy with me talking Neurology and Posture nowadays.. Dont mind me im just excited sharing what I learn and in doing so, I hope to improve my memory and mastery of the topic while sharing with the readers what I manage to gather while graduating from the American Postural Institute. I manage to finish up a msterclass consisting of not one, but 4 courses related to Posturology. This is apart from finishing a 1 year master's degree Osteopathic post grad (I entered with my Naturopathic PhD which has helped me understood the lessons and concepts).

The 4 things I've studied was Postural Neurology, Postural Expert, Postural Pediatrics and Ergonomics. It is this whole connection between Posture, MusculoSkeletal and Neurology. It has since opened a new avenue for me to promote other things than the usual "fix me up" practice.

It's also worth noting that poor posture can actually have negative effects on the nervous system. When the is constantly in a slouched orunched position, it can compress nerves and restrict blood flow, leading to neurological symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and weakness. This can also lead to chronic pain and discomfort.

Furthermore, research has shown that improving posture can have positive effects on the nervous system. One study found that correcting forward head posture led to improvements in balance and postural control, likely due to the improved function of the cerebellum and vestibular system.

In conclusion, neurology and postural health are closely intertwined, and it's important to consider both when addressing issues with and balance. By improving posture, we can not only reduce the risk of neurological symptoms, but also enhance the function of the nervous system and promote overall well-being.
